Dear Dream Street Family,
We have been closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19 and the related impact, hoping that we would all be able to be together this summer. Based on the current situation, we are deeply saddened and disappointed to share that our Dream Street program will be unable to take place in-person this summer. The health and safety of staff and campers is always our highest priority, and as you know, our Dream Street campers are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 and the risks associated with this pandemic.
Please take note that this news is not reflective of the full summer plans of Jacobs Camp. We will provide an additional update regarding those plans in the coming weeks.
We know that you love Dream Street and not being together at camp this summer in-person is disappointing for us all. We also know that camp extends beyond physical locations and buildings: it dwells in our hearts and friendships, is reflected in our values, and sustains in our souls. Because we know this to be true, we are committed to continuing Dream Street activities in different ways this summer. We are exploring new and creative ways to bring the Dream Street community into your home. We plan to offer programming for campers, as well as new and exciting ways for counselors and other staff to connect to the Dream Street community. There will be many fun things in store, and we will post more information on our website and through social media as soon as we can.
We know that you may have questions during this time. Our program staff and board are working closely to process what this will mean for our Dream Street program in the future. We may not have all the answers yet, but we want to work together as a community to make future summers of Dream Street as magical as possible! Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns, or ways we can support you during this time. The best way to reach us is at email@example.com.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our program and for being part of the Dream Street family.
